AN EXTENDED AND RESTORED OLIVE GROVE
When we bought the domain, we inherited of the old olive grove covering the terrace located right behind the main house and consisting of about sixty trees. We restructure the olive grow little by little, since some of the olive trees still bear the marks of the terrible winter of 1956, when most trees had frozen and then had started to grow again from the stump.
We started to plant young olive trees in 2016, and then in 2019 we purchased a plot of ninety 50-year old olive trees adjoining our vines. The same year, we also plant 150 new trees.
The olive grove is now 300 trees strong, with various olive varieties: Picholine, Olivière, Lucques, Aglandau, Clermontaise, Olivière, Verdale... And we are hoping for a first olive oil production by the end of the year 2020.
